Harry Barker

Harry Barker was an original crewmember of Halifax MZ763 EY-S. On that last fatal raid he couldn't fly because of the flu, William Grew took his place. Harry and John were best friends and Harry blamed himself that he wasn't with his best friend on that last raid. It was his last wish that after his dead his ashes would be scattered on his friends grave. His family granted that wish and with the approval of his family a plaque with his name and date was placed. John Swanson jr. and Larry Taylor unveiled it.

Next to the Halifax Memorial an information board was placed because of the many questions about what happened that evening 23 September 1944, and to give the names on the Memorial a face...
